Supplements : CytoVol

In the past I've used a simple glutamine supplementjust glutamine by itself. What's included in CytoVol that makes it a better product?

Besides 2.5 g of L-glutamine, each serving of CytoVol (4 teaspoons) contains:
- 2 g of Taurine: the second-most abundant amino acid in muscle tissue, which has cell-volumizing and "insulin-mimicking" effects.
- 2 g of L-alanine: an amino acid metabolite that may help preserve muscle glutamine concentrations and can also have some cell-volumizing effects.
- 500 mg of Inositol: a cell-hydrating and volumizing amino acid.
- 250 mg of RNA: a form of yeast RNA that may have a glutamine sparing effect.
- 1.5 g of Calcium AKG: a glutamine precursor that can efficiently bypass the gut and enter muscle cells where it can convert to glutamine.
- 500 mg of Glycine: a cell-hydrating and volumizing amino acid.
- 50 mcg of Manganese: a mineral that may support glutamine synthesis in muscle tissue.
Combined, the ingredients in CytoVol may enhance the muscle preservation of glutamine, "the most important amino acid for bodybuilders," according to Bill Phillips' Sports Supplement Review, 3rd edition. Glutamine helps maintain proper cellular hydration or muscle cell volume. And when glutamine levels in muscle tissue falls, cell volume can decrease, which is catabolicthe opposite of what we want to build muscle tissue.
